Hawk: Cardiac Problems on Cane Creek Road

HAWK, N.C. — Report of a person experiencing cardiac problems at a residence located in the 3500 block of Cane Creek Road. Emergency responders were requested.

Reported by the caller as a medical emergency involving an 83 year old female who complained of feeling chest pain and discomfort. She was conscious and alert and breathing normally. She had taken prescription blood pressure medication and vitamins in the past 12 hours. Asprin protocol was administered as she took one baby aspirin during the time of the report and had already taken 3 approximately 45 minutes before the making the report. She has no prior medical history of cardiac problems. Emergency responders with Bakersville Fire and Rescue and Mitchell County EMS were requested to respond to the scene to provide further assistance.
