Snow Hill: Breathing Difficulties on Appalachian Way

SNOW HILL, N.C. — Report of a person experiencing breathing difficulties at a residence located in the 200 block of Appalachian Way. Emergency responders were requested.

Reported by the caller as a medical emergency involving a 45 year old female who was experiencing breathing difficulties and was not completely alert, changing colors, pale, and clammy. She complained she was not able to breathe and it felt like her throat was closing but did not believe she was having an allergic reaction. She has no prior medical history of lung problems or asthma. Emergency responders with Bakersville Fire and Rescue and Mitchell County EMS were requested to respond to the scene to provide further assistance.
