SPRUCE PINE, N.C. — A Ledger woman has been jailed after being accused of harboring a fugitive.
Deanna Rose Hughes, age 27, of Sparks Road, Bakersville, N.C., was arrested on September 6, 2017 for Harboring and/or Aiding Certain Persons. She was also served Caldwell County warrants for Larceny by Changing Price Tag, Misdemeanor Larceny, and Second Degree Trespass.
Mrs. Hughes was held in jail on a $4,000.00 secured bond ($3,000.00 for Mitchell County charges and $1,000.00 for Caldwell County charges) and is schedule to appear in Mitchell County District Court on October 11, 2017 and Caldwell County District Court on October 19, 2017.
M. Burleson and M. Custode of the Spruce Pine Police Department were the charging officers. A. Beam of the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office was the arresting officer.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
