Rod Busters Show and Shine on June 13th, 2015

On Saturday, June 13th, Mountaineer Shrine Club will be sponsoring Rod Busters “Show and Shine” will take place between 10 am until 4:00 pm in Bakersville next to the fire department. The Shriner Parade will be at 12 pm. There will be food and drinks, 50/50, rafles, inflatables, music, fun for the whole family! Sponsors include Carolina Sign Source, Black Mountain Family Eye Care, WNC Knuckle Boom Service, Wyatt’s Wrecker Service, Morgan Oil, Ledger Ace Hardware, Terry’s Kwik Lube, Bogie’s Restaurant, Edward Jones, and Tri-County Builders. All proceeds go to benefit Shriners Hospital for Children.

Spruce Pine: Motor Vehicle Accident on South NC226

Report of a motor vehicle accident on South NC226 Highway. City, county, and state law enforcement response requested. Fire and medical emergency response requested. Reported as a collision between a motorcycle and a white SUV in front of State Employees Credit Union on Burleson Hill. Traffic was routed across Summit Avenue. Two helicopters requested to transport patients. One helicopter was MAMA and the other was WINGS. One helicopter was landed in the highway near the scene of the accident.
